A leaflet from the Scottish Government explains how Curriculum for Excellence and Community Learning and Development services are working together to improve the life chances of all young people in Scotland. It describes how CLD is a way of working with and supporting communities and links effectively with Curriculum for Excellence, in particular in relation to literacy, numeracy and health and well-being. CLD also links across other areas such as the creative arts, and it offers a range of experiences and opportunities that are tailored to the individual needs of the learner, enabling people to develop the confidence to tackle challenges in their lives and move forward.
