Presentations from the event that the CLD Standards Council for Scotland ran in October in partnership with Assist Social Capital and Oatridge College are available. The outcome was “a clear desire to create a new vision for Scotland’s learning culture – non-hierarchical, open and unfettered by bureaucracy, where equality of opportunity is a given right and where formal AND informal learning opportunities are highly valued. … an education system, which produces multi-skilled adults who can sustain themselves and their communities in the economy of the future. This system will be decentralised and empower communities to address the issues facing them at a local level, to encourage diversity and resilience.”
