SCDC  has written a briefing for elected members on community engagement, on behalf of the Improvement Service. It sets out the role for elected members, some of the issues and challenges they can expect, and provides guidelines to promote effective engagement.  The briefing may also be useful for community organisations looking to their councillor to open up opportunities for engagement.
