SCVO’s Andrew Jackson has written a column on this subject. He comments “Community development or capacity building (call it what you will) is well established as the primary way by which communities are engaged and enabled to organise and take action…. Without people who know about community development available if needed, I doubt there’ll be a very Big Society”.
