Care Commission The Care Commission is putting in place a new, unified and effective system of care regulation that puts the safety and well-being of people who use care services at its heart. Chartered Institute of Housing in Scotland The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) is the professional organisation
for people who work in housing, with 18,000 members who work predominantly
in local authorities, housing associations and the private sector in
the UK and Asian Pacific. CLD Standards Council for Scotland (observer status) The CLD Standards Council is the new professional body for everyone active in community learning and development in Scotland. It will support training and development for everyone in this field of work (paid or unpaid) and explore the best way of establishing a registration model for such a rich and varied field.
Community Health Exchange (CHEX) CHEX is one of the leading agencies in Scotland that provides a resource in supporting community development approaches to health improvement and challenging health inequalities. It also facilitates a network of community health initiatives and works to support them in developing good practice and influencing health and social policies. Community Learning & Development Managers Scotland (CLDMS) CLDMS exists to provide a national focus on professional issues and standards for local authority community learning and development provision, to improve the quality and extent of community learning and development provision and to promote the interests of local authority Community Learning and Development managers Consumer Focus Scotland Consumer Focus Scotland, successor to the Scottish Consumer Council, promotes the interests of Scottish consumers, with particular regard to those people who experience disadvantage in society.

Electoral Reform Society (Scotland) ERS believes that a fair voting system will improve our democracy, allow politicians to better represent you and help them to tackle the serious issues facing our society.
Equality and Human Rights Commission The Equality and Human Rights Commission champions equality and human rights for all, working to eliminate discrimination, reduce inequality, protect human rights and to build good relations, ensuring that everyone has a fair chance to participate in society. Equality Network The Equality Network works for equality and human rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Scotland. It creates ways for people to contribute to making Scotland a place in which everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, can live free from hatred, prejudice and discrimination.
Federation for Community Development Learning FCDL is the UK network for community development training, supporting the development of communities through advancing and promoting community work learning at local, regional and national levels and the creation of appropriate opportunities for training and qualification Forward Scotland Forward Scotland is an independent body championing innovative approaches to Sustainable Development in Scotland. Generations Working Together Generations Working Together is the Scottish Centre for Intergenerational Practice. It works with public, private and voluntary sector organisations, as well as individuals and families, to gather and share best practice, provide information and support, and develop new opportunities for intergenerational working in communities. Greenspace Scotland Greenspace Scotland is an independent charitable company that works with a wide range of national and local partners to improve the quality of life of people living and working in urban Scotland through the planning, development and sustainable management of greenspaces.
Health Scotland (observer status) Health Scotland is the national resource for improving Scotland's health formed in April 2003 through the bringing together of the Public Health Institute of Scotland (PHIS) and the Health Education Board for Scotland (HEBS). Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) (observer status) HMIE has responsibilities to evaluate education in Scotland, from pre-school to further education and including community learning and development, and local authorities Highland & Islands Enterprise The task of the Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) network is to help create a strong, diverse and sustainable economy where quality of life is matched by quality of opportunity. IACD The International Association for Community Development (IACD) is an international not-for-profit, non government organisation committed to building a global network of people and organisations working toward social justice through community development. Learning and Teaching Scotland LTS provides information, guidance and CPD resources to improve learning in Scotland. It has recently taken over responsibility for practice development in Community Learning and Development from the former Learning Connections team of the Scottish Government.
Lifelong Learning UK LLUK is the independent employer-led sector skills council responsible for the professional development of staff working in the UK lifelong learning sector Linked Work and Training Trust Linked Work and Training Trust offers an innovative programme - unique in the United Kingdom - of education and work-based learning with a community development focus. It is also involved in national development programmes for Community Learning and Development on outcome focused practice and on CLD competences. OXFAM Oxfam's work on tackling poverty in the UK aims to: 1. develop projects with people living in poverty to improve their lives and show how things can change 2. raise public and politicians' awareness of poverty and its causes, and lobby to bring about change
Planning Aid for Scotland Planning Aid for Scotland provides advice and training on planning to communities, delivered by a network of fully qualified and experienced town planners. It also undertakes action research to provide best practice on community engagement.
Poverty Alliance The Poverty Alliance aims to combat poverty by effecting change in the policies, practices and beliefs of communities, policy makers, professionals and the general public. Regional Screen Scotland Regional Screen Scotland is the national development agency for cinemagoing opportunities in rural communities. It is building up a network to support the interests of independent cinemas, multi-arts venues, voluntary organisations, schools and youth groups - working towards partnerships with each other, with other national organisations and with local authorities

Scotland's Colleges Scotland’s Colleges exists to support, represent and promote Scotland's 43 colleges who are at the forefront of lifelong learning, education, training and skills. Scottish Churches Housing Action Supports the development of volunteer-based initiatives to help homeless people at a local level, using community development principles. Scottish Grant Making Trusts Group The Scottish Grant-Making Trusts Group is an informal group of individuals working with trusts and foundations operating in Scotland. The Group does not, in itself, make grants. Currently, there are 26 members, representing a wide cross-section of trusts and grant-makers. Scottish Human Rights Commission The Scottish Human Rights Commission is a statutory body, independent of the UK and Scottish Parliaments and Governments, which promotes and protects the human rights of everyone in Scotland. It is working to increase awareness, recognition and respect for human rights in Scotland by bringing human rights into everyday life. It is dedicated to helping everyone understand their rights and the shared responsibilities we all have to each other and to our community.
Scottish Refugee Council An independent charity dedicated to providing advice, information and assistance to asylum seekers and refugees living in Scotland.
SURF SURF is Scotland's independent regeneration and inclusion network, sharing good practice, information and discussion so as to help shape practice, policy and opinion.
