A number of organisations have been submitting preliminary comments to the Scottish Government on the potential scope for a Community Empowerment and Renewal Bill, on which a consultation will take place in the New Year. First to publish their comments, to our knowledge, are the Scottish Community Alliance, which focuses on greater powers for communities to acquire public assets, and Community Learning & Development Managers Scotland, which looks more at the possibility of legislation on community participation and community capacity building.
