Last year the Community Development Foundation commissioned the Scottish Community Development Centre to lead a scoping study to:
- explore the potential for a mechanism to share good practice and policy in community development across Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England
- how that mechanism may look,
- what the role of different organisations would be.
The study looked at community development as a strategic approach as well as a professional method of working. Issues relating to occupational standards and skills were excluded from the analysis. The report and a summary are now available.
