Last month we mentioned the Independent Budget Review. It is also worth looking at COSLA’s submission to that review. This argues that “the real focus should be on transformational change and at the heart of this should lie the most effective ways to deliver the right services in the future”.  One aspect is that “Communities play their part in a whole range of services provided within their communities and this type of co-production of services needs to be looked at more fully, in particular around how we work with communities to play their part and how they can take greater responsibility, rather than just relying on the public sector to deliver services”.
