In January a meeting was held at which representatives from civil society came together to discuss human rights compliance and monitoring in Scotland on everyday issues such as health, housing and inequality. It was agreed to explore the feasibility of:
- Setting up an independent NGO that focuses solely on domestic human rights issues
- The added value of a Human Rights Consortium for civil society in Scotland as a collective and co-ordinated voice.
So far the Consortium has 32 supporting organisations. It is aiming to increase that number to 40 by 31st December. To express interest please complete this form.
