BIG’s Our Place programme aims to make increased investment in five areas of Scotland, which have not seen the expected level of Lottery funding over the last three years. One of the first major investments is in Greenock Central and East, where local people came together to agree their own priorities for cash. They allocated funds to a one-stop shop providing money, budgeting and welfare benefits advice; a community health project; a Community Development Trust project enabling older people to become and stay active in their community; and a CVS project to support the growth of new and existing community groups.
