Two major community sector bodies, Development Trusts Association and BASSAC, are merging into a new organisation which is to be called Locality. Steve Wyler, currently director of DTA will head the new organisation. Locality will seek to attract further members from across the community sector, including settlements, development trusts, social action centres and community enterprises. It will provide support and advice on community asset transfer, public service delivery, community advocacy and social enterprise.
