It is interesting to see that the idea of a regional Community Development Strategy is still alive south of the border. ‘Active Communities: Resilience and Renewal’ is a strategy for the North West of England. Probably inevitably, it argues that “Community development will make an important practical contribution to building the ‘big society’ in this region.”
