A new research project will explore how the public, private and social sectors along with communities can work together to tackle ‘systemic local problems’. CLES is working with Urban Forum, Tudor Trust, Salford City Council and Manchester City Council on the goal of creating co-produced communities. It will draw on CLES’s resilience work and Urban Forum’s experience in community-led action.
In a joint blog for New Start, CLES chief executive Neil McInroy and Toby Blume, chief executive of Urban Forum, said they hoped the initiative would help ‘herald a new era for local economies, community and local place development’.
