This Scottish Government study seeks an understanding of how well positioned people in Scotland with equalities characteristics are to access the benefits of economic recovery. It concludes that cuts to government spending and welfare reform mean that, “unless mitigating action is taken, there may be significant and disproportionate negative impacts for some, if not all the main equality groups which therefore carry the risk of exacerbating existing inequalities.”
