The Centre for Environmental Change and Human Resilience (CECHR) and the Geddes Institute for Urban Research held a symposium in November 2015 in Dundee aiming to address the following questions.
- How should we measure wellbeing? How do we distinguish between identifying what people perceive wellbeing to be from the factors that actually impact on wellbeing?
- What measures are appropriate for different contexts/schemes?
- What kinds of approaches are needed for evaluating the contribution of placemaking to well-being?
- How can the evaluation of wellbeing of collaborative community placemaking approaches be better integrated?
A paper outlining the discussions and conclusions from this seminar has now been published.
